Does anyone remember The Haunting in Connecticut (2009)? You know, that movie that showed all of the already limited scares in the trailer, and left you to sit bored out of your mind for 92 minutes in your theater seat? Good news! A sequel has been announced, entitled The Haunting in Connecticut 2, also known as The Haunting in Georgia. As per usual, the movie’s original title changed along the path of its distribution, but I have to say, I thought the first title was much more fitting to the film’s place in the franchise. Either way, I just hope this sequel illustrates the rare quality of surpassing the first movie in the series.
A poster has already surfaced for the second installment in the series, as well as a trailer. As you’ve probably guessed, this story takes place in Georgia. This time, a family moves into a remote cabin in Georgia, which they believe has never been previously occupied. But once they discover the truth about their serene getaway, they learn that every home has a history, and some are darker than others.
The cast for this film includes: Katee Sackhoff, Chad Michael Murray, Abigail Spencer, Brad James, Morgana Shaw, Andrea Frankle, Emily Alyn Lind, Lauren Pennington, Grant James, Lance E. Nichols, Jaren Mitchell, Tyler Humphrey, Monica Ascota, Cicely Tyson, and Wayne Pere.

I think using Connecticut in the title and Georgia in the tagline is asinine. Why didn’t they just call it A Haunting in Georgia? Anyway, the original story about the haunting in Georgia that was profiled on A Haunting and Unsolved Mysteries (I’m assuming this is the source material) was pretty creepy, maybe something from that will make its way into this.
